How To Create Inexpensive End Caps

You may create inexpensive end caps yourself, by using our lower temperature heat shrinkable tubing--
  1. Determine the tubing to be used from the above list.
  2. Select the size tubing you want to use.
  3. Cut the tubing so that it will provide about 3/8" to 1/2" of 'overhang' from the end of the object you are covering.
  4. Slip the cut length over your object, maintaining the 3/8" to 1/2" 'overhang'.
  5. Apply heat.
  6. While sill hot pinch the 'overhang' with a pair of pliers and hold for 30-60 seconds, while the tubing is cooling.
  7. When cooled, the resulting end cap will maintain its seal unless and until the shrink temperature is again achieved.
