Controlled Impedance Flat Ribbon IDC UL Style 2651 · VW-1
Description: Each conductor is 28 AWG, 7 strand of 36 AWG T.C. with .010" nominal wall of extruded PVC insulation overall. Conductors are to provide .050" +/- .002", center to center conductor spacing allowing for nominal impedance of 105 Ohms (measured ground-signal-ground). IDC flat ribbon cables are listed under UL style 2651 and meet UL VW-1 flame test. Conductors separate cleanly and one has a red stripe for polarity. Because of controlled center to center spacing, cables may be mass terminated with insulation displacement connectors designed for .050" spacing of conductors. Crosstalk is also controllable.

UL Style 20424 · 300 Volts · VW-1 - Daburn FEP ribbon cable reduces crosstalk, compared to PVC constructions. It provides hi-fidelity and dense signal transmission with low dielectric constant. It has a low coefficient of friction.
