Linear Power Modules
We supply many variations of encapsulated linear power supply modules through our power-supply division, Polytron Devices. Each of the modules has a high isolation voltage option, short-circuit protection, and super low noise, as well as optional bench adaptors built for single and dual linear power supplies in cases A, B, C, and D.
These power modules offer maximum safety, having been certified by two major international safety organizations: Underwriters Laboratories (United States and Canada) and Conformité Européene (Europe). Among their safety features is a low leakage current, which eliminates the risk of electric shock.
Ideal for Many Industries
Encapsulated linear power supply modules from Daburn and Polytron are highly useful for applications in many industries, especially the medical field, the military, transportation, general manufacturing, robotics, communications, entertainment, and much more.
Our linear encapsulated power modules are available in five different input voltages – 100 VAC, 115/220 VAC, 220 VAC, 230 VAC, and 240 VAC – and output voltages ranging from 5 to 250Vdc. They are also available in two versions: Industrial and Medical. The P3, P5 Series is UL 60950-approved for industrial applications, and the P3, P5/MHIA series is UL60601-1 approved for medical applications.
Industrial Series Features Available
- Alternate pin configurations;
- Power range of 50-60 Hertz, with 400 Hertz as an option;
- Isolation resistance of 50 MOhms;
- Free air convection;
- Worldwide input voltages; and
- Standard operating temperature range from -25 to 71 degrees Celsius; an optional extended temperature range is also available, from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
Medical Applications
We offer a new series of linear encapsulated AC/DC modules approved according to UL60601-1 for medical applications. This series boasts the same extra-low output noise, PC or chassis mount packages, and regulation line and load form 0.02 to 2 per cent as the industrial version, but has the added features of 2 X MOPP for patient protection and delivers 2uA patient leakage current. Single, dual, and triple output voltages are available, and alternate input voltages are available for international use. Applications range from surgery and dentistry to patient monitoring, imaging, sterilization, and much more.

- Very low RMS output noise.
Our linear encapsulated power modules are UL, CE and CSA approved and feature a high isolation voltage option, short circuit protection & super low noise. This series offers bench adapters which are designed for all single and dual linear power supplies.
