Railway & Transportation Applications
Polytron Devices is a top source for DC-DC power supplies for the rail and transportation sectors. Unlike many of the DC-DC converters our competitors offer, these robust railway power supplies are fully compliant with strict transportation industry standards.
Our inventory of railway power supplies includes 12-, 24- and 110-volt Input DC-DC converters. These products are highly reliable choices for use with transportation and railway machinery and equipment, which provide unique challenges.
A Wealth of Technical Advantages
These DC-DC converters for rail and transportation come in 12 different series, ranging in power from 8 to 200 watts. Single and Dual Output Voltages are available, as well as a variety of package sizes and options including quarter- and half-brick converters and miniature 1″ by 1″ by 0.39″ package compact converters, all with ultra-wide input voltage range.
Polytron’s line of transportation and railway power supplies has many important, unique technical advantages. In addition to meeting the EN50155, EN500121-3, and EN61373 standards of the European Committee for Standardization, these converters have passed all shock and vibration tests. With six-sided continuous shields and reverse polarity protection, they can maintain output voltage for as long as ten milliseconds during power outages. All of the wattages (8-200W) are available with input voltage range choices of 110 (40-160), 24 (9-36), and 48 (18-75) VDC input, and optional wall-mount designs are available.
